Warrior Run High School; 4800 Susquehanna Trail, Turbotville, PA

This area of central Pennsylvania is steeped in history.  On the far left stands a large, trompe l’oeil statue of an eagle, which is the school’s mascot.  The mural depicts this history in six ‘chapters’.  The timeline begins with the area’s native people and travels forward in time from a 1778 revolutionary war battle to the present day paying tribute to the railroad and agricultural industries along the way.   Over the course of 3 months, I worked with virtually every student in the school district as well as community members to conceptualize and paint the mural.  Over 1,000 people contributed to the project.

This project was sponsored and funded by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Perry County Council for the Arts, and the Warrior Run School District.
