This image is one in a four-part Philadelphia Rowing series on the Schuylkill River. This painting focuses on the women in the City of Philadelphia who made strides forward in the sport. Through a number of public paint days on historic Boathouse Row along the river, there are over 400 people who can claim that they assisted in the underpainting of the mural.

This project was sponsored and funded by the PTS Foundation, the Schuylkill Navy, Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, and Mural Arts Philadelphia.
