Acrylic Paint on Polytab

2019

(wall one) 10.5’ x 37.5’ (wall two) 10.5’ x 19’

Jefferson Station, Philadelphia, PA

The historic Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia celebrated its 125th birthday in 2018.  This multi-wall mural project in Jefferson Station, just across Filbert Street, pays homage to the history and evolution of this Philadelphia landmark.  Not only do hundreds of people see it on a daily basis as they travel their daily commits, but over 200 people also assisted in painting the project through a number of community paint days that were held at the market.

Walls One and Two of the project focus on Reading Terminal Market.  Walls Three and Four on the opposite side of the room give an abridged history of the South Eastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority, or SEPTA, for visitors descending the stairs to the bustling railway hub below.

This project was sponsored and funded by Reading Terminal Market, SEPTA, and Mural Arts Philadelphia.
